This morning a childhood friend of mine posted on Facebook about a very cool project she stumbled upon called 100 Happy Days. Read about it here:
We live in times when super-busy schedules have become something to boast about. While the speed of life increases, there is less and less time to enjoy the moment that you are in. The ability to appreciate the moment, the environment and yourself in it, is the base for the bridge towards long term happiness of any human being.
71% of people tried to complete this challenge, but failed quoting lack of time as the main reason. These people simply did not have time to be happy. Do you?
And I say, YES I DO.
I didn't make any resolutions this year because let's face it-they never stick. But I did think about the fact that I'd really like to do MORE. More smiling, more laughing, more loving...more guitar playing, more drinking wine, more sailing...that sort of thing. And while taking a picture a day of something that made me happy isn't really MORE, it is doing something and THAT makes me happy. So, without further ado, here is my day 1 picture:
An everything bagel with cream cheese from my favorite local coffee shop. I can taste it because my cold is finally letting up.
Happy Tuesday everyone. Here's to 100 Happy Days...and MORE!
