You're Amazing...Me? Not So Much...

Are you amazing at anything? I want to be amazing at something. I'm not and I want to be. Trouble is, I don't know what I should try to be amazing at. Or how to become amazing.

I am a good writer. But I haven't been able to write lately and I can't remember stories when I sit down to write them.

I can sing, but not wonderfully. It's just good enough, if you know what I mean.

I admit I am a good chef and some dishes people have said are amazing. On more than one occasion, people have told me that the food they just ate was the best they've had in their lives. But I don't think I am amazing. I mess up way too much and don't practice enough. I'm forgetting terminology because I am not actively using it. Overall, I am just not amazing.

I'm a good friend, but not even close to being an amazing friend. I can't keep in touch and often get wrapped up in my own world.

My sisters love me, but I'm not the best sister in the world...

So what should I focus on? How should I get there? I feel like taking some classes somewhere but they are too expensive and my interests are too varied...

Basically, I have no idea what the heck I'm talking about. All I know is that I am not amazing at anything and I want to be. I guess that's the first step-identifying the lack of amazingness and figuring out how to get closer to it.

Randomivity

There's really no nice way to say, "Shut the fuck up and leave me alone."

If you're going to call a cake a penis, please make sure it looks like one. And preferably, please make sure it's all one race.

It's not a secret that my mother and I don't get alone most of the time, but when she exclaimed "We're wearing dicks!" to the stranger who entered the elevator-I died laughing.

I've forgotten how fun dueling piano bars are.

I really love gum but really hate the smell of gum in a pocketbook. It's weird, I know, but I do.

I also hate the smell of convenience stores and almost never enter one because of the way I smell afterward. And I hate when people I'm with come out of one-even for a few minutes.

B1's brain is spinning again. This time, to get rid of the squirrels in the attic, he wants to build a butter chute. We'd spray the inside of a big tube with butter, make really loud noises so they run out of the hole and into the buttery chute. They'd lose their footing and fly out of the house. Really...how does he come up with these things?!?!

Some of my favorite moments with B1 are those in which "normal" people would look at us and say "WTF?" or "Ew." (B/c we're so cuddly.)

It's supposed to be in the 60's today. The minute I heard that I dug into my winter clothes pile and took out a purple dress and tights. I am so excited that fall is coming!!!!

I had my first pumpkin spice late from Starbucks this season. I have to say-I'm not really a fan anymore. I'll get my pumpkin fix somewhere else and I'll stick with their hot apple cider instead.

B1 makes me feel so good about myself. It's nice to hear him share his thoughts about me being nice and how pretty he thinks I am.

2 weeks is a long time.

Every time I type in randomivity in my labels, "Drunken Ramble" comes up. I'd like to have one of those soon. :)

Toosdae ?'s

Hello there!  I am so sorry that I haven't posted pictures like I said I would.  Truth be told, I'm exhausted.  This weekend really took a lot out of me and last night B1 and I had a nice dinner and then did work around the house.  So...those things too priority.  Then I was going to download the pictures here at work today, but I quickly realized they weren't appropriate.  Not that they are bad or anything but there are a few pictures of pictures of penises.  So...I'll wait to download those at home!  In any case, here are this weeks questions:

1.  You have to make a list.  It doesn't matter what the list is for, you just have to make it.  What do you write it on?

2.  What area code does your primary phone use?  Is it accurate to where you live, or is it a cell phone area code?

3.   What is the most unique thing currently in your freezer (or fridge)?

My answers...

1.  I'm a huge fan of post it notes but often transfer my original notes onto larger paper.  I have a bunch of scrap paper (old print outs ripped into quarters) at work and that seems to be my favorite.

2.  860...this is my old zip code from when I lived in CT...and it is a cell phone.

3.  Um....a bunch of generic yellow-ish freeze pops.  B1 and I must not like them very much b/c when you look in the box, there are a ton of them.  Oh-I also have a ton of dead banana's for banana bread.  They're not really dead, they're just too ripe to eat and so I froze them so I could use them for baking.  Now that the weather is cooler, I'll have to do that.
