Randomivity

Today is my birthday! B1 and I both took the day off and later we're going to a fancy dinner in the North End. I borrowed a pretty (very out of character) dress from a friend and bought pretty new shoes. I can't wait!

Sometimes I worry about myself when I'm secretly happy when things don't go right for some people.

Being able to drive into the city, park and walk along the Charles (all within 5 minutes or so) is so wonderful...especially when I'm holding the hand of the man I love.

I should sometimes stop to think about my phrasing.

I am glad B1's last name isn't really "Queso Perro".

I love to watch my Rye Bread and my B1 play together.

I often marvel how some people really don't understand that what they did was wrong.

My new boss is really very nice and I think that we'll get along fine. As long as office politics don't get in the way, that is...

A bunch of my friends are coming out to celebrate my birthday on Friday night. Have I mentioned lately how happy I am that I moved to Boston? The friends that will sit around eating Mexican food and drinking margaritas are one of the reasons why...

My sister's wedding is fast approaching. That means after my birthday I have to hit the gym hard again to get rid of 10-20 pounds. Cross your fingers for me!

I'm not sure why I can't get a good manicure/pedicure here. It's really frustrating!!

Hold On!

My new boss is here today-so I'm busy (Yay!)...this means Toosdae ?'s will be put off until this afternoon when she leaves.  (Sorry GW!)  I'll have to start planning better for this sort of thing!

Another thing threw me off-Jamie, the man who hit me and caused me lots of pain-emailed me via Facebook today.  I've tried to search for him on there so that I could block him but he never showed up...well, he found me.  He said that he thinks of me often and he's glad I look happy.  This sounds nice enough, but this means that his current victim is getting fed up and he needs to find someone else to latch onto.  It's what he does.  What bothers me most about him contacting me is that this means he is looking for me.  He's curious about where I am and what I am doing.  I don't think he'd follow me or come here, but he's keeping me in his sights, and I don't like that. 

I wish he'd just leave me alone.

He's blocked now, so he can't contact me any longer...at least not on FB.

Time seems to be flying lately. It has everything to do with the amount of stuff I've been doing lately. B1 and I seem to be busy all of the time and when we're not, we're trying to fit in doing something fun...it's very, very rare to have a lazy day with us.

We'll have to put that on the "To Do" list. Speaking of which, this is my kind of list:

Yes. I have the cutest boyfriend in the entire world. I'm a very lucky girl. This is funny for many reasons, but to me it's great because we had a discussion about our lists...and how we attack projects and such. I like his list for me much better than the list I have for our apartment...

Among all of the organizing, unpacking, painting, and general "home making" sort of things, I received a gift in the mail. One of my very favorite bloggers, Lisa, sent me one of her prints. She is so amazingly talented and I already have 5 or 6 of her pictures in my home. This one, I think, will look very pretty in our bathroom...

Thank you Lisa-I love it!!! And B1 likes flowers more than I do-so not to worry about him caring about having flowers in the apartment. :)

I mentioned the other day that we painted the kitchen. I just finished the trim last night, so I don't have an after shot just yet, but here are the before pictures:
