Toosdae ?'s

I've been severely slacking on the blogging front these days. I have to admit that I haven't been very inspired. And because I haven't been a very good blogging friend (visiting and commenting) participation in Toosdae ?'s has been low....sorry about all of that! For those of you who still would like to play along, here are this week's questions:

1. Did you vote today? If not, why?

2. What is one of the major voting topics in your area? (No need to tell me how you feel or how you voted on the issue.)

3. What did you have for lunch today?

My answers:

1. Not yet-but I am going on my lunch break. It's very convenient that I live just up the street from where I work and therefore my voting location is also close.

2. One of the topics we're voting on today is whether or not to reduce sales tax.

3. I am having a tomato and basil veggie burger on toast and a salad. I wish I was having a burger and fries.

1. Not yet, but I'm going to pretty soon. I'm working from home today, so I'm going to do that and renew some CD's at the library at the same time (the library & town hall are the same location in my town).

2. Voting on removing the sales tax on alcohol.

3. I had a Green Giant Healthy Vision veggie packet and sprinkled it with some 4C parmesan cheese. Washed it down with a glass of water. 110 calories. Gotta save room for tacos tonight for dinner!

1. Not yet, doing it on the way into work.

2. I guess the race for Governor but more so is the race for the Senate seat vacated by Dodd.

3. I haven't had lunch yet either and I'd best get going or else I won't before I leave for work!

1. No, the below link sheds light on why.

2. I have no idea; I don't get the newspaper.

3. I don't typically eat lunch so that I might ingest more calories in the evening.

All the best to you, young lady!!

1. Not yet. On my way home from work, I will.

2. The Governor's race. The Senate seat left vacant by Obama and temporarily filled by Roland Burris.

3. I have given up on lunch. There is never enough time, lately.

@Thomas - In the original speech Eisenhower was going to give - the phrase was "Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex". It got changed before he gave the speech - but his original intention was to call them ALL out.

DMoney: Yummy!! I love tacos.

Linda: So...are you happy with the way the election went?

Vinny: Um...don't ask? I'm curious now. And I want to ask! LOL!

Tommy: Thanks for stopping by!! I'm very surprised that you don't eat lunch...then again, knowing that you snack in the middle of the night...I guess that makes sense.

Lou: That's no good-you should be eating lunch! If I were in Chicago I would make you eat 2 hot dogs and some chocolate cake. ;)

1- No... I Didn't! That's terrible! I was going to go vote when my baby woke up from her nap, and then I got distracted with playing spiderman memory with rohan. Then it was time to pick up mac and do homework, dinner, frost sugar cookies @ my mom's. I was going to go on my way home from my moms, and then I got a call from my renter telling me that her basement was full of water. I forgot until I read this that I didn't vote. :-( This is extra sad because of number 2:

2- governor. But more importantly there were proposed changes to idaho's constitution is that were important to me to vote on. This makes me sad that I didn't vote. :(

3- Chips and salsa and a piece of toast with homemade plum jelly. Not my healthiest lunch choice... but the homemade salsa was yummy! :-)

Thanks for the info, LceeL. I wasn't aware of that factoid.

1. Yup.

2. A big issue was the repeal of the tax on soda and candy. It passed.

3. BLT with avacado on flat bread from Subway.
