Help Needed

I need your help!

My sister is getting married in October and I would like to sing a song at her reception. Hopefully my father will play the guitar and I will sing. I'm having a hard time finding songs. I'd like it to be a slower song and preferably a song about sisters or growing up or something that says I want your life to be great. (LOL)

I'd rather it not be a love song about getting married...

Any suggestions?

That's a tough one. I'll have to think on it.

I Hope You Dance - Leann Womack

I Will Be There for You - Jessica Andrews

There's No Place that Far - Sara Evans

Remember me this way - Jordan Hill

there's a few more but I can't think of the titles, if I hear them or remember I will let you know. sorry most of mine are country.

"I Hope You Dance" is a good one. Also "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts is amazing. :) Those would be my picks... in reverse order. "My Wish" first.

If you like country music at all, those are great suggestion.

FYI i hope you dance is her song to rye so that might not be the best for that reason.... i'll try and think of suggestions and email you!

I second "My Wish" by RF...

Thanks for the suggestions-I won't sing "My Wish" because it's a weird range and it's being used for something else. But I'm checking out the others.

Thanks!!

Where is she getting married? That is, in a church or at another location? If it's a church, there might be "restrictions" on the type of song that is song.

Whatever you sing, make sure it's in your range and you're comfortable with it. You'll be nervous enough as it is; the more at ease you are with the song, the better you'll sound. :)

Sorry....just really you said "at her reception."

Forget what I said about the church restrictions. :)
