Toosdae ?'s

1. Tell me about 3 things that you asked for when you were little but that you never got.

2. What kinds of movies make you cry?

3. What is one thing you know for sure?

1. Last week I told you about a pony. I never got that. I also wanted Guess Jeans and a Coca Cola polo shirt. I really wanted those in 6th grade b/c everyone else had them.

2. I used to not cry at movies-now I cry when I see anything inspirational, when people who are loved die and when true love is lost.

3. This is going to be depressing to say, but I don't know much "for sure". Every time I feel comfortable saying that I trust something to be for good, it goes away. I'd like to believe that true friends I have will be with me until the end, whenever that is and that I'll be ok. But you just don't know.

1. Z-Cavaricci jeans, a Champion sweatshirt, and a puppy.

2. A lot... I never used to cry at movies. Then about 7 or 8 years ago I watched "My Girl" for like the 9th time and balled my eyes out at the end where he gets stung by all the bees. Ever since then I feel like I cry at almost every movie I see.

3. I don't know much "for sure". I know I'm married. I know my name. Everything else is still exploratory.

1) I was pretty friggin spoiled. I can't think of anything that I didn't eventually get. I am sure there were things but nothing I can come up with right now...(no wonder I can be a brat)

2) I cry at movies where innocent things are harmed and if I can actually believe that it would happen. It goes back to me always looking out for the under dog. I hate to see the under dog get harmed.

3) I know for sure that I can count on myself.

1. A pony (I even have a picture of me on Chincoteague Island begging my dad for one), horseback riding lessons, a later curfew!

2. Oh I'm such a sap when it comes to movies. Steel Magnolias made me bawl, same with The Notebook, Crossroads (the one with Britney Spears), I even cried at the end of Terminator 2 the first time I saw it.

3. I know for sure that I need a new job!

3. I know for sure that life will never be perfect but "less than perfect" is not so bad!

1. Tell me about 3 things that you asked for when you were little but that you never got. I always wanted a dog of my own. I never got that, but since we had family dogs it didn't bother me too much. When I was in the eight grade there was a concert I REALLY wanted to go to and my parents wouldn't let me-many years later I had the opportunity to see the band twice in the same year. Made up for all those tears shed back then. Third thing...no clue.

2. What kinds of movies make you cry? I cry at so many movies-it all depends on how I'm feeling at that given moment I suppose. The last movie I cried at was "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants".

3. What is one thing you know for sure? I know for sure that I needed to take off today in order to give my body a chance to recover.

1. I wanted to know how to make an atomic bomb (kind of good I didn't get that). Also, I wanted a chimpanzee and a greenhouse. I have a greenhouse now but it's not as cool as I thought it would be and I still kill most plants eventually.

2. I always cry when I watch Return to Me and What Dreams May Come... other movies make me cry too, the first time I watch them, but those make me cry every time and I still watch them.

3. Everybody can agree on the color black. It's generally safe to assume we all mean the same thing when we talk about black lettering. Everything else is variable.

1- I didn't ask for much so I don't remember not getting much because I hardly ever asked.

2- I bawled my eyes out in Powder, City of Angles, Peaceful Warrior, Braveheart. Take your pick- I cry at many movies. Atonement... that's another one. There's no definitive answer to this question. I cry at whatever movie I happen to be watching when I need a good cry.

3- The only thing I know for sure is that nothing stays the same. Change is the only constant.

DMoney: Z-Cavaricci jeans weren't poppular where I lived b/c Guess was where it was at-but I know lots of people who also wanted them!! I had a grey Champion sweatshirt in 7th grade. I loved it.

Paige: LOL! You're funny-and lucky!! You brat. ;)

Maunie: Those hats were so cool! I never had one either-do you still want one?

Asara: I think we all wanted a later curfew! Good one. :)

Anon: Less than perfect isn't that bad-you're right. Good answer.

Ivana: Ah! I was waiting for that death and taxes answer!! So-when you moved to the US, did you buy yourself a barbie? Every girl should have one. ;)

Brian: Click? Really? That's interesting.

Star: That's a wonderful thing to know for sure. :)

Silver: OH! The Sisterhood makes me cry too. I think b/c I didn't have those kinds of friends though.

Marilyn: You always delight me. An atomic bomb and a chimpanzee?!? You're fantastic.

Clancy: You are right-change IS the only constant!!!

1. For my sister to be returned to where she came from, a Coca-Cola rugby shirt, and a goat.

2. I'm a big crier during movies. It's weird, because I didn't used to be. Now, sometimes when I need a good cry, I'll put in a movie that I know will start the waterworks (like when Sam-Pa dies in "Big Eden")

3. One thing I know for sure is that it is brave to express your opinions, because sometimes there are people out there who will cut you off for having those opinions.

1. My aunt promised me a horse but my mom and dad wouldn't let me have it!
2. I cry at commercials. Seriously, I cry way too easily. I've gotten worse as I get older. I am a family embarrassment!
3. Being a Christian, I have faith in the hereafter. And that opinion is one that other's make fun of...

1. I can't really think of anything. My parents were poor, and I'm sure there were lots of things I wanted and didn't get, but obviously their absence in my life didn't make a big impact!

2. Sappy movies make me cry. But outrageously funny movies can make me cry from laughing too hard.

3. I know for sure I'll die some day. When, I don't know, but it WILL happen one day.

1. A tree house (we didn't have any good trees), a BB gun, a little brother (I ended up being ok with a little sister instead).

2. There's no specific kind of movie that gets me...I can be got though, because I'm something of a softy. Shhhhh...don't tell anyone.

3. I know for sure I'm going to die one day. Everything else is up for grabs.

I'm sorry I'm sooooo late, but oh well - I'm answering them anyway!! :P

1. I wanted a Skip-It, I wanted the game Mouse-Trap. and I wanted one of those stencil sets that had all the crazy circles and patterns and all sorts of colors, I don't remember the name but I wanted one of those more than anything else.

2. Anything where a child is harmed, I can't handle that at all! Also, depending on the time of the month I will cry for just about any movie :-0 Mostly, of course, the romantic ones.

3. Here's just ONE of the things I know FOR SURE: the more I know, the more I learn how little I know, and yet chocolate is awesome! :-0...

2. Usually I cry very easily. But, anything involving sadness with kids involved will really get my juices flowing!

3. Some day I will die. I just hope it's not soon.
