Toosdae ?'s

1. If you could travel anywhere in time, where would you go? Or, would you opt not to travel in time?

2. What would the child you once were think of the adult you have become?

3. If you were tiny like Tom Thumb where would you make your home? (A tea kettle, a mole hole...)

1. Before I actually did Civil War reenacting, I would have said anywhere I could wear a hoop skirt and a bonnet. Having experienced that I have changed my mind. I've always thought that the 20's were wildly romantic and if I could, I'd go back to be a flapper.

2. The child that I once was would be both disappointed and proud. Disappointed because I am not married and don't have children and that was always a dream, and proud because of all that I have overcome and have achieved so far. She'd also be happy that I am liked by most people I meet.

3. I think I would make my home under a large flower with lots of leaves. The shower could be a leaf that's holding water and when you want to bathe you'd pull it a little bit and it would leak out. My bed would be made of fluffy dandelions.

Strangely, I probably would go back to the 1960s-1970s...the Vietnam War would have pissed me off, but at the same time...the music back then was pretty amazing and I would love to experience all that first hand.

2. What would the child you once were think of the adult you have become?

I think I'd be annoyed that it took me so long to realize that I should consider a career as a writer...as when I was younger, that's what I wanted to do more than anything.

3. If you were tiny like Tom Thumb where would you make your home? (A tea kettle, a mole hole...)

I'm small enough, thanks.

1. I like what c-unit said.. but to make it a little more personal, I'd go to the hospital where I was born and see if I could find my mom there.

2. She would get the gaming thing, and be happy about the kids.. the job, maybe not so much. She wanted to be a doctor or a veterinarian.

3. This is really tough. I mean, you're the size of bird food, to an extent. So trees and things are out. A mouse could also kick your butt, so in the walls of a house or barn or something is also out. I think I'd find some understanding human and see if I could get them to make me a house in the back of a drawer or something that they don't use. With a ladder or steps so I could climb in, and a tiny screen door with a latch, so nothing else could get into my house while I wasn't in it.

NO WAIT! I would have my husband build me a house out of Legos, because I know he would make something super-cool.

Trust me to over-think this one, right? :)

1. I would go back to the 50's and make a killing writing science fiction under a male psuedonym.

2. She expected more out of our life. She'd be terribly disapointed.

3. These days a nice fur lined mitten sounds cozy. I'm so tired of being cold all the time.

Hey, I just thought I would let you know that coming to your blog on Tuesdays is the highlight of my day! Either makes your blog super cool, or me a loser. I'll let you be the judge... Lol!

1. I'm a future person, but I think going too far into the future might be depressing.

2. Why didn't I end up with Mags? Lol! Really, I went to college and I'm thousands in debt for this?

3. Great question. Definitely not in my desk at work... Actually, maybe in my desk @ work. Seems to have its own environment.

1. Ancient Egypt. What, you thought I was gonna say Ancient Lithuania or something???

2. Oh, that's tough. I guess disappointed. I always thought I would be successful.

3. I assume you mean Tom Thumb like a tiny "Borrowers" type person, and not General Tom Thumb, the little person exploited by PT Barnum, because then you'd have to live in a side show... If you're talking like Borrowers size, then in a hole in the wall at a nice used bookstore.

Silverneurotic: I'm sorry! I didn't know you were extremely tiny....just how tiny are we talking?

C-Unit: I'm surprised you don't have an answer for #3.

Brian: Ew.

Asara: How much more schooling would you need for that? The vet thing, I mean? Don't you have an advanced degree? I forget what it's in though. :-/

Marilyn: I want to give you a giant hug. I think you're a fascinating person and I don't think that baby M should be disappointed in grown up M.

Josh: You made me smile. Thank you. :) And I wouldn't call you a loser at all-maybe a bit weird. (LOL) And also, that's what you say to all the girls. ;)

Bond: I knew you'd answer #1 the way you did-the music calls you, I know.

Mo: Your tiny home is perfect for you. :)

Ooh, good ones today!!

1. Yikes, I'm stumped. There's so many awesome places I'd love to see. I think maybe I'd like to go back to the days of Plato and sit in on a few classes at the school in Athens.

2. I'd be mad about certain things. Like, I screwed up my timeline because I'm still single. But kids don't really understand those things. I'd also be really proud because I'm financially independent, I have a good apartment and a very cool car!

3. Somewhere in a giant library with big windows. I'd have to research libraries further to pinpoint the exact answer, but I'm sure somewhere out there is one that would be perfect for a tiny me to live!

Happy Toosdae!!! :-)

1. If you could travel anywhere in time, where would you go? Or, would you opt not to travel in time? I'd probably choose not to time travel. I do like my creature comforts.

2. What would the child you once were think of the adult you have become? I would think I was pretty cool, but then I was really a nerd!

3. If you were tiny like Tom Thumb where would you make your home? (A tea kettle, a mole hole...) I'm with Bond... a seashell. Either that or a small corner of my balcony...LOL!

2)She would think I was boring as hell, but slightly jealous because the person I am now has most of her shit together.

3) I honestly don't know. LOL I can't imagine being that small. LOL Probably a hole in the wall of a coffee shop.

I realize I am extremely late... I've been out of town. But these were so fun, I had to post anyway!

1- I would want to go back and watch my great great grandparents coming over to the USA from Sweden. I would only want to be a fly on the wall, but I would want to see who they were. Also my see my great grandma and my grandma's relationship as my grandma grew up. Still as a fly on the wall.

2- I think the child I was would be thrilled with the adult I have become. I guess because I am fairly thrilled with the course of my life presently, so I can't imagine my child-self being anything less!

3- I once spent some time in an architect's house when I was about 12 years old. He had built a "gnome home" in his baseboard. It was a little door in the baseboard and you could open it and there was a little hollowed out room in there complete with a light and furniture. The tiny little door was complete with a four pane window. It was fascinating to me and I always wanted to be small enough to live in there... so I think I would choose there.

1. I would opt not to travel. Not unless I could just be like, a painting on a wall someplace doing nothing more than observing and not interacting, in which case... my mom's first marriage to my father, as I am now, to see what exactly happened. I'm a firm believer in the theory that if you travel in time, the slightest thing can alter history and therefore would not want to interact.

2. Oh man. Hopefully that I didn't end up too much like my mother...

3. I would live in this stained glass jewelry box that I have on my desk at home. Only I would need a door. But I think that it would be very pretty and make me feel like I lived in a palace.
