Cards?

Some just suggested I get business cards.

I think it's a little early, don't you? What do you think?

Then there's the whole design aspect of them. You know me, I have to have them look perfect. And also, what do I put? I'm not technically a chef yet, and if I get cards, I am not going to put "Chef in training"

And also, I don't have a business set up yet. Is that ok?

What do you guys think? I am trying to start accumulating customers, and 2 people have asked for cards...

Yikes.

It's not a bad idea. Just list your services and for now you can make your own. It doesn't hurt to get your name and number out there!

I think business cards are a fantastic idea.

You can get free business cards from vistaprint.com at the moment. I think they then bombard you with catalogues and junk mail, but that's a small price to pay for free stuff. :)

Really?! That's a fantastic tip Owl. Thanks.

I'll have to check it out. Free business cards kind of make the decision a no brainer.

Still...I can't list all of my services. What should I list?

And you put "Chef", in the same way that I would put "IT Director".

It's more a description of what you do than your actual title.

Hmmmm... I might do myself some business cards, actually. :)

I just did it.

I put "Personal Chef" and I even created a blog for my "business".

I need a new template though.

In 2 weeks, I'll be ready to spread the love!

Or the cookies. Whichever works better.

I would venture to say that NICE business cards are a good investment.

Think about it: If you pass out cards, to most of those people it will be the only tangible evidence of your business. Make it stand out.

Definitely do it. I will even buy them for you. You have to start somewhere and why not with business cards?

Aw, thanks Greg. That's so nice of you.

I did order the free ones. They might be cheesy, and in that case, I won't use them, but if they look nice, I'll hand them out. In the mean time, I'll work on my new blog, research good cards and see what I've got to do to actually become a business.

Yowzers. This is kind of exciting.

Hee hee.... I want to have business cards made up for no reason. People ask me all the time what I do for a living and I typically respond with:

" Professional Panty Model and Shadow Puppeteer."

That's what I'd put on my business cards.

Yeah. You should go for it. But have fun with it. Reference yourself as a chef and then add something ridiculous just to make people wonder. Like... Champion Bullfighter or something. That would be hot.

Well, I AM a Champion Bullfighter.

So yeah. That'll work.

Cool! Business cards are good. Yeah Personal Chef is a good title/description.

Hopefully website will be ready soon ;)
